Frank Lattal, FCIArb

 

Frank Lattal is an independent arbitrator and mediator with over 35 years of experience in commercial and international dispute resolution.  Prior to starting his neutral practice in 2020, Frank spent 14 years practicing law followed by 21 years as a senior executive in the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer.  He has acted as counsel, party representative and has served as co-arbitrator, chair, or sole arbitrator and as a mediator across a range of commercial disputes around the world.  He is a founding member of Arbitra International.

Accreditations

Frank is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).  He is a member of the Panel of Distinguished Neutrals of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (AAA-ICDR), The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Cayman International Mediation and Arbitration Centre (CI-MAC) and is certified by ARIAS-US, ARIAS-UK and FINRA.  

He is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey and is co-author of a 1 volume treatise, New Jersey Insurance Law, published annually by ALM Media Partners, LLC., currently in its 17th edition. Frank is a member of several not-for-profit boards and the Advisory Board of the Nanovic Institute for European Studies at the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame.

Professional Activities

  • April 2026 - Speaking EngagementFrank attended the ARIAS US midyear meeting in Nashville, participating on a panel titled, "A View From the Center Chair."  The panel focused on the Umpire's perspective on significant current issues involved in the arbitration of insurance and reinsurance disputes.
